Photos of Matt Redman from LIFT 2011

Gotta love the fog!

A few weeks ago I attended the LIFT Worship Leader Collective (conference) in Atlanta, hosted by Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, and Louie Giglio (Passion City Church). It was a really great experience, and it was a small crowd of about 1000. I got lucky enough to sit really close, so I snapped a few photos. I’ll post up some more about the conference soon.

Here’s another:

You can see the rest of the photos I took here on Flickr.

How were the songs for the new Redman record?

Hey Chris! The songs were great. Really great. Over the course of the conference, we heard the songs probably 3 times. By the 3rd time, I (and the rest of us) were belting them all out at the top of our lungs. I think that says something about them – singable, memorable, great hooks and melodies, and the writing was as you’d expect from Matt Redman – simplicity and depth at the same time.

I’m definitely getting this record as soon as it comes out. Thanks for stopping by!

I WAS THERE TOO! Only, Fred & I were in the far back (got there late). Sad I didn’t meet you there. I, too, liked the new Redman stuff, though I only caught maybe 2 that I might lead (I still LOVE his “Where Angels Fear to Tread” CD more than anything else he’s ever done!) I did get to interview Matt, & will be posting that this week over at TheWorshipCommunity.com. Blessings!

Awesome – it would be very cool to interview Matt. I’d probably be a bit starstruck, ha! It’d be a Chris Farley SNL moment. Something like. “… so… you, um, wrote, uh… Blessed Be Your Name…. Remember that?… That was awesome!…”

Alastair told me I should try and look you up at LIFT – I’m sorry we didn’t get to meet face to face as well. Looking forward to reading (or listening to?) your interview.

I’m not familiar with The Worship Community. I’ll have to check it out for sure.
